Finally embarking on a trip to Taiwan, still on plane now, sooo excited that I’m gg to see darling soon!!!❤️

The day started off slowly, with me sleeping in till honey couldn’t take it anymore and came in to wake me up. At this point, I must mention that honey and I didn’t get to share a room. Honey was sleeping with 外婆 in another room. And regarding this room that I was sleeping in, I didn’t realize till much later that its window faces the washing yard and people outside can see clearly everything that goes on inside the room. =_= |||

We then had breakfast and decided to go explore the area around 二孃 place. Before I left the house, I carefully placed the ring into my pant’s coin pouch, determined to find a chance to propose during the day.

We shared a bowl of 操手，before heading home to meet up with 二孃，外婆 and feng 叔叔 to head to a family lunch with honey’s extended relatives. There were a lot of relatives at the 丘二馆 restaurant. The treat was given by 庆文舅舅。眼鏡姑婆 was there too! She said I had slimmed down! That was when I met honey’s 舅舅 as well. He sat on my left, while honey was on my right. The lunch was yummy, even though a bit stressful. The dishes were literally stacked on top of one another due to the table-top space being used up.
After lunch, it was the highlight of this trip. Honey and me parted ways with 二孃, 舅舅 they all and we walked towards the 解放碑。Unknown to honey, I kept looking out for the opportunity to go down on my knee and ask for her hand. I kept asking honey if she wanted the hello kitty balloon, but she insisted no. So we kept on walking till we came to this out-of-this-world café, which is beautifully decorated. It has a balcony that looked out onto the busy street below. And at that moment, I felt the ambience was right and I went down on my knee and took out the ring and asked honey if she will marry me. Leading up to this moment, we have enjoyed 29 months of courtship. We had our ups and downs. We had our stormy moments. We had our memorable moments. Most important of all, we have an exciting future that I have full confidence in.

Honey, you might say I didn’t give a touching speech when I proposed to you. So, let me just put my thoughts down here in words. It wasn’t a rash decision on my part, as I am sure you are fully aware of. I have thought our future through thoroughly repeatedly in my mind. And, every time, the inner-most desire in my heart is always the same. I want to give you 幸福 honey. I want to 宠 you all my life. I want to 疼 you and let you be your natural self, while growing together to become better people as a couple honey. I want you honey. All of you. And I need you. You are my sunshine, my queen, my princess, my baby, my oxygen, my nutrient, my energy booster, my refuge, my 小猫咪 and my 小老虎。I don’t know how other men might interpret the phrase “happy wife, happy life”, but to me, I fully understand how only you being happy can make me happy honey. I promise I will do my utmost best to give you happiness honey. And I won’t try to change you in that process honey. I love you just the way you are. Let’s start building our future together honey. The day started very early. To be very accurate, the previous day didn’t end. As I would be away from Friday onwards, I was rushing to complete the weekly report before sending it out at around 2:30am. As I was just sending out the weekly report, Honey messaged me a video clip of me falling asleep on honey’s living room sofa and snoring. There was no chance of me being able to snore that night though, because I still had to pack my luggage from scratch. So, I messaged honey to chide her for being a naughty girl and not turning in yet. Honey was chatting with Ding Qiao Ning over Wechat and got too excited. Yup, she is that cute! J It would not have been cute to turn up at honey’s auntie place without essential items though. So, the towel, shaving cream, shaver, tooth-brush, underwear and facial foam were in. I was prepared for there to have no cellular network in Chong Qing, so I was intending for the phone to be utilized more as a camera. Even then, the power bank and the charging cable were still needed. The laptop and its charger were in as well. Most importantly, as I had been repeatedly reminding myself in the past few days, I made sure the ring had been brought along. J ❤

I finished packing around 3:30am, so I laid down to get a shut-eye. I wasn’t successful as I was too excited about the first overseas trip that honey and I were going on in just several hours. So, at 4am, I got up to start preparing. I went to shit. Then, mama also woke up to help prepare my breakfast. It crossed my mind that honey might over-sleep, so I dropped her a msg. She called back to say she had already started preparing. Knowing that Ge mama and honey are coming over soon, I quickly went to shower. Before I could get fully clothed, honey called to say that Ge mama was already going to turn onto the AYE. Arhhh… I rushed to put on my clothes and grabbed the last few items, e.g. towel and toiletries, before flying down to the 转转 at my block downstairs.

Honey was ever so cute in her specs and asking why we need to wake up. So, it seemed that Ge mama had to claw honey out of bed to ensure we can catch the flight on-time. Along the way, honey was telling us how Ding Qiao Ning remembered her – as a sabotaging friend who will 打小报告 to Ding Qiao Ning’s mum and get her caned. : – 0 Hahahha.. exactly how I imagined honey!

Ge mama dropped us off outside the departure hall, leaving honey and me to excitedly go to the check-in counter. I combined my towel and toiletries into honey’s check-in luggage. Then, off we go into the departure hall.

Honey had a lot of shopping to do inside the departure hall, so much so that we didn’t have time to look for food to fill honey’s hungry stomach. Changi airport shops are strange, to say the least, at 6am in the morning. The shelves were half empty. Products of a different brand were being displayed on shelves that claimed themselves to be of another brand. The sales personnel were missing, leaving the whole shop unattended. Some of the more helpful sales staff explained that the shops were changing hand and the old products were being cleared before the new batch of products were displayed. I couldn’t really understand what they were saying. But I guessed it didn’t really matter. I just felt 心疼 that honey couldn’t eat her breakfast.

After running around asking the different outlets about Chanel, Kiehl, Sisly and Clinique, we were just in tim e to board the 小笨鸟，as my cute honey terms it.

Ying Ying and Lai Yong came to pick us up from the airport. Prior to the trip, honey had been telling me that Ying Ying’s boyfriend is 35 years old and that he would be coming to pick us up. So, the first moment that I saw Lai Yong, the thought that flashed through my mind was: “他保养的也太好了吧！” Hahaha.. Turned out Lai Yong is just 16 years old. And he is Ying Ying’s brother.

We went to 二孃 place from the airport, where feng 叔叔 has prepared a feast for us.

I drank far too much and got quite drunk. Luckily, 二孃 passed me a blanket and asked me to 喷一下 （睡一下的意识). After that, Xiao Wei and Ying Ying brought honey and me to their homes to give 福豆 a visit. They are renting the place for 3000 RMB a month. The rent in China is not that expensive, I guess. 福豆 is a German shepherd puppy. He looks very fierce and I am sure he can rip off anyone’s neck without flinching if he finds a need to. His paws are huge, just like a lion. Looking through my photos, I realize I forgot to take a picture of福豆.

Then, we went to 南山 to eat 正宗的重庆火锅！This part, I must describe in greater details. The place is situated at the middle of a mountain. The tables are arranged outdoors. There are 2 rows (maybe more) of tables situated at different height of the mountain, with some sited inside a 亭子。The tables are made of concrete. Functional, nothing fanciful. It is in the shape of a square, with 2 people on one side. The food is delicious, with a lot of exotic ingredients that I can’t name now without honey’s help.

After that, we happened to pass by 金夫人，the famous photography company that honey family has been doing photo shoot for years. We went in to inquire about our pre-wedding shoot somewhere in March next year. The sales rep was very persuasive and the photos that she showed to us were artistic and elegant! I totally can imagine honey and me in those photos! 😘 But we decided to go back and consult 二嬢 they all.

After that, honey brought me to 吴抄手，where we had 夫妻肺片、锅贴 and 清汤抄手。😊 Along the way, we bought a bubble gun for yang yang.

Then, 二嬢 called us to arrange to meet at 幸福广场 to watch the musical fountain show. 二嬢，冯叔叔，舅舅，舅妈，yang yang and lai yong were there. The musical fountain show was impressive, especially the part where the water jetted up to at least 5-storey tall height. 一点都不逊色于新加坡的音乐喷泉！The accompanying music was very hip and lively. So much so that 二嬢 was dancing! Yang yang was also happily playing with the bubble gun that we bought her. It turned out that 舅舅 also bought a bubble gun for her. Anyway, the gun we bought didn’t go to waste as yang yang was excitedly chasing the bubbles that were shot out by me. That was until some irritating by-stander started making bigger bubbles with a big wand. Cheater! 😒

After the musical fountain show, 舅舅 suggested to go see the 夜景。He brought us to this road-side opposite the 朝天门，which gave us the scenery of the 2 江 meeting. 冯叔叔 was telling me about how nuns board the boat here previously. I didn’t really understand the story, but I think the key thing is that the water undercurrent is very strong here. No worries, I would not have jumped in there.

Next was 洋人街。I must admit that I initially imagined that place to be full of ang mos, and full of pubs at which they will be drinking. But how wrong could I be. It was more like Sentosa. There were rides and ghost houses. 二嬢，lai yong, honey and me went into the ghost house. Actually, we didn’t know it would be a ghost house. At least I didn’t know. 😝 I thought it was an earth-quake simulation room. To be fair, there was indeed an earth-quake simulation room, which started to shake mildly after we were all inside and holding onto the rail at the sides. Then, the door opened and we were shepherded into a corridor. At that point of time, I still thought we were just going to another room, which might present us with greater shocks that I was hoping would be more realistic. Shock, indeed, was there. But not the type that I had in mind. I first realized something was wrong when the girls in front started to scream. Then, suddenly, a male, dressed in black, with a pale face, walked out of the corner of the corridor. We all screamed! Honey was clenching onto my arm tightly. As 二嬢 started 拍-ing that ghostly figure, I realise he is Lai Yong. Phew! There were a few more scares along the way out to the exit, but I was better mentally prepared by then. And, of course, I also had to convince honey that it’s alright and push her along so that she will move. 😝 Honey’s so cute!

After the scare, we had to 定一定神 with 羊肉串、烤鱿鱼 and iced drinks.

With that, we called it a day and went back home. 😘 It was a special day for honey and me.
