My wifey was confused.. Then she figured it out!

Today, as usual, I called wifey once I am on the way to office. Wifey picked up the phone at the third call. In her sleepy voice, she asked why I am up so early. Wahahaha.. It was 7:48am. Wifey told me she didn’t have a good quality sleep because she dreamt about the face washing basin that she used to have a long time ago. Then in her dream, everything fell out from the basin. I asked wifey how we are going to wash face then. Wifey said she also doesn’t know. But, I guess that prompted wifey to consider getting out of bed and start preparing to go to office. I told wifey I love her. Wifey said she love me also. Then, we wished each other to have a great day ahead. And we said our bye’s. As usual, I waited for wifey to end the call. But the call didn’t end. 

Instead, wifey’s snoring sound travelled from Singapore all the way to Taiwan through the cellular data packs. It was deep. It was reassuring. It was wonderful. It brought a smile to my weary face naturally. It brings up images of my beautiful wifey in her pyjamas, sleeping sweetly on our queen sized bed, snoring away her melody. It filled me with joy. It made me want to fly over and kiss wifey on her tender forehead. 

这就是爱。。。

On 16th Feb 2015, we registered our marriage. It is magical! It is exciting! It is emotional! It is joyful! It is legal! It is natural! It is predestined! It is love! It is commitment! It is begining! 

If you are our children, and reading this many years later, you might be thinking, “who wrote this post exactly?” Well, if you got to ask this, you obviously don’t know us, your parents, well enough. Come talk to us more! Come home for dinner whenever you can!!

Normally, I would post about an event or a day that honey and I have shared memories of. But, today, sitting on honey’s bed, an inspiration leaped out at me to have a post dedicated to the sanctuary of my honey. This is the room that has given honey lots and lots of good night sleep. This is the room that is our fellow conspirator every night when we talk on the phone, keeping honey’s voice trapped inside the room as best as it can. This is the room that provides peace and focus to honey when she needs to rush through homework and office work. This is the room that lets honey see the reflection of herself everyday after she has changed to see if she is ready to step out and face the world. This is the room that gladly opened its arms and welcomed Winnie and XiaoPing into its fold, letting them stay happily in it. This is the room that willingly allows honey’s clothes and stuff to be strewn all over it, because it doesn’t place its look as first priority, but honey’s busy schedule and precious few moments of sleep as top priority. 

I want to be honey’s room. 🙂

8/10. One day after the National Day. It is a Saturday. Chun Chun and Sijia came back from Chong Qing with lots of good food: 夫妻肺片，鸦架，酥肉 just to name a few. Ge mama went to the airport to pick them up, while honey and me prepared the fried fish and meat ball soup. 🙂

8/29. Honey has fallen sick. She has started to cough and according to honey’s research, it is due to 风热犯肺. So, the research indicates that honey should drink 桑菊饮. And i happen to be at home due to being on standby for reservist. So, i went to jurong point to look for 桑菊饮. To my horror, all the big chinese medicine shops don’t have that. In the end, i bought 2 bottles of herbal tea, which contained chrysanthemun and put in additional powders to soothe the cough. Then, i brought it to honey at SIMTech. After that, i searched for starbucks and worked till honey finished work.

After honey finished work, Ge mama wanted to treat us to dinner, and honey and I 不约而同 thought of Dean’s cafe at Toh Guan Road. So, we picked Ge mama from honey’s home and went there for dinner. We ordered 金瓜排骨，金丝豆腐，芥蓝苗，菜薄菏蕃.

8/30 is a saturday, and I woke up very early to go pick honey up and go to Suntec together, because there is EEEAA AGM being held there. Honey is the emcee of the day! And honey is also being elected to become the honorary secretary of the executive committee for the coming year. Honey, jia you!! 😘

Honey and me finally tried this Penang food restaurant at JEM. It is called Gurney Drive. The food was fantastic! Totally suited honey and my taste. 🙂 After that, we managed to catch the movie “Bad Neighbour”. It was funny, have a lot of “wrong” (according to honey) scenes and ultimately gave us a lot of brainless laughs. Good way to spend a Monday evening!
