Normally, I would post about an event or a day that honey and I have shared memories of. But, today, sitting on honey’s bed, an inspiration leaped out at me to have a post dedicated to the sanctuary of my honey. This is the room that has given honey lots and lots of good night sleep. This is the room that is our fellow conspirator every night when we talk on the phone, keeping honey’s voice trapped inside the room as best as it can. This is the room that provides peace and focus to honey when she needs to rush through homework and office work. This is the room that lets honey see the reflection of herself everyday after she has changed to see if she is ready to step out and face the world. This is the room that gladly opened its arms and welcomed Winnie and XiaoPing into its fold, letting them stay happily in it. This is the room that willingly allows honey’s clothes and stuff to be strewn all over it, because it doesn’t place its look as first priority, but honey’s busy schedule and precious few moments of sleep as top priority.
I want to be honey’s room. 🙂

8/29. Honey has fallen sick. She has started to cough and according to honey’s research, it is due to 风热犯肺. So, the research indicates that honey should drink 桑菊饮. And i happen to be at home due to being on standby for reservist. So, i went to jurong point to look for 桑菊饮. To my horror, all the big chinese medicine shops don’t have that. In the end, i bought 2 bottles of herbal tea, which contained chrysanthemun and put in additional powders to soothe the cough. Then, i brought it to honey at SIMTech. After that, i searched for starbucks and worked till honey finished work.
My search for starbucks.

After honey finished work, Ge mama wanted to treat us to dinner, and honey and I 不约而同 thought of Dean’s cafe at Toh Guan Road. So, we picked Ge mama from honey’s home and went there for dinner. We ordered 金瓜排骨,金丝豆腐,芥蓝苗,菜薄菏蕃.
Honey enjoying the food.

Honey and me finally tried this Penang food restaurant at JEM. It is called Gurney Drive. The food was fantastic! Totally suited honey and my taste. 🙂 After that, we managed to catch the movie “Bad Neighbour”. It was funny, have a lot of “wrong” (according to honey) scenes and ultimately gave us a lot of brainless laughs. Good way to spend a Monday evening!

Fathers have always been unsung heroes in a family. I am not sure whether it is because of the cultural history of asian societies, or it is just the emotional disposition of males, most fathers struggle to be as emotional close to their children as the mothers effortlessly can. But we must not forget how much love and dedication most fathers have contributed. If anyone were to ask to compare whose contribution is more between a father and a mother, I guess the concept of “non-duality” and inter-being is unknown to that person.
Having said all these, I feel really blessed that honey and I are able to celebrate this day with both our fathers and tell them we appreciate them.
For lunch time, we bought Dian Xiao Er duck and went my home for lunch. Honey also gave peipei a tea-pot set, which peipei likes very much. 😊
For dinner, we met chun chun and sijia at JEM to buy present for Ge papa. We bought comfy shorts from Uniqlo. Then, we went to buy salmon fish and other vegetables for dinner at IMM Giant before going honey’s home for dinner. My contribution was the stir-fried Dou Miao. 😘
